Fan Experiences - Lizzy

I'm Lizzy Evans and I'm a 27-year-old entertainment producer at a radio network in New York. I currently live in Astoria, Queens (just over the river from glorious Manhattan and all it has to offer) with my best friend and roomie, Jason. I moved here from Miami, Florida 1-1/2 years ago and I can honestly say it was the best decision of my life.

Now, as for John (the reason we're on this site in the first place). All it took was "Missing You" and it was all over for a sweet-faced 15-year-old in North Miami Beach. Once he made his guest appearance on Paper Dolls, I was destined to be smitten for life, I guess. It wasn't until 1989 (December 2, for you detail-oriented people) that I got to meet John for the first time. When I took a photo with him and looked at him, I felt like that 15-year-old all over again. That's probably one of the main reasons I still get that thrill from his music. His voice and his songs-whether from Union Jacks or When You Were Mine-bring me back to a sweeter, simpler time of my life. And isn't that what music's supposed to do.transport you, carry you away?

My favorite songs? Never easy to choose, but I'll try."How Did I Get By Without You," "In Dreams," "Midnight Rendezvous," "Show Me How To Love You" (anyone who has gone to a JW show with can back me up on that one!), and my two all time favorites, Bad English's "Time Stood Still" and "Ghost In Your Heart."

"If at first you do succeed, try not to look astonished."
