Fan Experiences - Denise
I remember the first time I saw John Waite and The Babys in the late 70's - they were wearing EARRINGS - I had never seen a GUY with an earring. How cool! What a rebel!! I knew I was hooked. Twenty-plus years later, I'm happy to say I am still a dedicated John Waite fan!
It's hard for me to explain what it is about John Waite and his music that makes me a fan. I guess I would have to say that his diversity keeps me addicted, especially to see what he is going to do next. That's what makes him such an exciting artist. He can rock with the best of them and yet still sing a love song that will break your heart. He has a song for every moment.
Picking favorite songs is another tough one because it does depend on how you're feeling at that moment. I'd have to say "Midnight Rendezvous" is my favorite Baby's tune followed closely by "Turn and Walk Away." Nothing comes close to "Temple Bar" as an all-time favorite "listen to it a thousand times and never get tired of it" CD. Some of my other favorite songs are on "When You Were Mine" - and "Ignition" and "Rover's Return" get a great deal of rotation!
I hope to meet John one day. I'd like to tell him how much I admire his talent and thank him for all the remarkable music. I'm so looking forward to more!
